Payroll Officer Role
The successful candidate will have experience in end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to staff. This role involves calculating and reporting workers compensation liabilities, reconciling Long Service Leave (LSL) accruals and payments, and administering salary increases and back payments.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end payroll processing for approximately 700 staff on a fortnightly cycle
* Calculate and report workers compensation liabilities, including lost time and injured worker payments
* Reconcile LSL accruals and payments in line with Enterprise Agreements (EAs) and state legislation
* Handle special reconciliations, including shift worker Annual Leave entitlements outside of EAs
* Administer salary increases and back payments
* Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and professionally
Requirements
* Proven experience in end-to-end payroll in a large, complex environment
* Proficiency with major ERP systems, such as Micropay, SAP, ADP, and Time & Attendance platforms
* A proactive and can-do attitude, driven to make a tangible impact
* Strong interpersonal and exceptional communication skills
