About the role
ALPA is seeking passionate and enthusiastic retailers to:
* Manage the successful operation of a supermarket in a remote First Nations community
* Train and mentor local team members
* Deliver on ALPA's nutrition policy
* Work with merchandising, nutrition and local stakeholders to meet community needs
Skills and experience
* Minimum of three years’ retail management experience (mandatory)
* Experience using electronic retail systems for stock control, point of sale and staff management
* Certificate III in Retail or an ability/willingness to obtain within the first 12 months
* Ability to manage the unique challenges of remote communities including limited resources, unpredictable supply chains and cultural considerations/sensitivities
