Senior Network Engineer
Data#3 is partnering with a client in the manufacturing industry to engage an experienced Senior Network Engineer. This role provides advanced technical leadership across enterprise network and voice infrastructure, with temporary and limited coverage of selected Network Services Manager duties to ensure operational continuity. This is not a managerial replacement role.
About the Role
You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving complex network and unified communications environments across corporate and manufacturing sites. You'll also contribute to projects, documentation, and ongoing network enhancements.
The role will require you to be on-site in the Central Coast 2 days per week & 3 days WFH.
Key Responsibilities
Network Engineering
* Design, implement, and optimise LAN/WAN/WLAN, VPN, Internet, and remote access.
* Maintain monitoring systems, OOB access, and documentation.
* Troubleshoot complex incidents and work with vendors as needed.
* Perform upgrades, patching, and adhere to change management processes.
* Support disaster recovery planning and testing.
Project Delivery
* Provide senior expertise to network and voice-related projects.
* Assist with design, planning, and implementation tasks.
* Coordinate subcontractors and produce as-built documentation.
Unified Communications
* Administer MS Teams Calling, Cisco CUCM, Unity Connection, and UCCX.
* Troubleshoot voice issues and perform scheduled maintenance.
Temporary Coordination Duties
* Assist with team workload coordination and technical escalation support.
* Provide operational updates to the IT Operations Manager.
Asset & Support
* Maintain configuration and asset records, CMDB updates, and lifecycle tracking.
* Provide Tier 3 support for network and voice incidents.
Skills & Experience
Required:
* 5+ years in enterprise network engineering.
* Strong Cisco experience across routing, switching, wireless, security, and voice.
* Experience with cloud, servers, storage, and virtualisation.
* Tertiary IT qualification or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
* CCNP, CCNA or CCIE.
* Azure / Microsoft 365 certifications.
* Experience delivering technical projects.
