The Opportunity
AutoSparky is a well-established, community-trusted provider of auto-electrical, air-conditioning and audio services. We're hiring an Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations across the workshop and admin so the owners can focus on growth. If you bring practical technical understanding, operational leadership skills, and the ability to guide a team in a fast-paced, future-focused environment, this could be the role for you.
About the Business
• Serving Alice Springs since 2012 across cars, caravans, coaches, trucks and heavy machinery
• Committed, capable team and loyal customer base
• Strong local reputation for quality and care
Your New Role
• Plan and run the schedule, align people and parts, remove bottlenecks
• Lead and develop the team with clear expectations and coaching
• Maintain a safe, organised, efficient workshop and smooth admin interface
• Resolve service issues, keep clients informed, manage supplier relationships
• Report weekly/monthly on productivity, return work and improvements
About You
Your background doesn't have to be in auto electrics - we value a range of experience
You may come from:
• Auto-electrical, mechanical engineering or diagnostic environments
• Technician or workshop roles (light vehicle, heavy vehicle, 4WD, off-road, mining, transport)
• 4WD fit-outs, accessories, electrical systems, dual-battery or touring setups
• Operations leadership in a workshop/service environment
• Practical understanding of auto-electrical or mechanical work
• Calm, consistent leadership and strong communication
• Systems mindset with pride in quality and customer experience
