As a seasoned Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our financial operations and risk management reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial stability and growth of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and report on monthly accounting, cash-flow and budget performance
* Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of banking, investment and treasury functions as well as associated reporting
* Prepare statutory reports including APRA reporting requirements and tax compliance
* Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions, bank, fixed asset and general ledger reconciliations
* Coordinate the annual audit process including preparation of financial statements and reports for auditors and stakeholders
* Process payroll and superannuation payments accurately and efficiently
* Analyse business performance and provide insights to drive strategies that improve financial performance
* Contribute to the administration and maintenance of risk management systems and electronic registers
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance finance function efficiency.
Requirements:
* Relevant financial accounting qualifications and 3+ years' experience in a similar role
* Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively with data
* Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
