About the role
Reporting to the Executive Officer, the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Mayor provides high‐level executive, administrative and organisational support to two of the Council's most senior leaders. Working closely with the CEO, Mayor, Elected Members, Executive Leadership Team and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring priorities are managed effectively, commitments are coordinated and information flows smoothly across the organisation.
What you will do
* Manage the CEO and Mayor's diaries, appointments, correspondence and key commitments
* Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes, reports and follow‐up actions
* Organise civic functions, community events and corporate activities
* Act as a key point of contact for Elected Members, staff, government representatives and community stakeholders
* Maintain accurate records and process administrative and financial documentation
* Exercise discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
* Provide responsive support across the Office of the Chief Executive

* Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
* Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare professional correspondence and documentation
* Confidence building relationships with senior leaders, Elected Members and external stakeholders
* Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to manage confidential information
* Strong customer service focus and a proactive approach to problem solving
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and corporate systems
* A collaborative and adaptable approach with a willingness to support the broader team
