Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to shape South Australia’s future as a global leader in defence and space. Defence SA is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Defence and Space Project Manager to lead the delivery of a program of high-profile, technically complex projects — including the planning, development and operationalisation of a new Satellite Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) facility.

About You
You’re a highly experienced project leader who brings:
* Strong program and project management credentials, especially across complex infrastructure or high-value capital works.
* Advanced technical understanding of defence, space, or advanced manufacturing environments.
* A strategic mindset, with the ability to translate government and industry objectives into practical, actionable project plans.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to operate confidently across industry, government, contractors, and executive-level decision-makers.
* A solutions-focused approach, anticipating risks, identifying opportunities, and navigating challenges in dynamic environments.
You work collaboratively, exercise sound judgement, and lead with purpose. You are comfortable making decisions, managing competing priorities, and ensuring milestones are met with clarity, confidence and accountability.
