Holistic Horizons Support Services is seeking a reliable and compassionate Domestic Assistant to support older Australians living independently in their own homes across Redcliffe and surrounding suburbs.
This is a casual community‐based role delivering Support at Home (SaH) services — not residential aged care. You'll play an important part in helping clients maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home environment while supporting their independence and wellbeing.
What You'll Be Doing
* Providing domestic assistance in clients' private homes (cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas)
* Supporting clients to maintain a safe and hygienic home environment
* Identifying and reporting maintenance, safety or wellbeing concerns
* Building respectful, positive relationships with clients
* Following individual care plans and organisational policies
* Adhering to all relevant health, safety and quality standards
Qualifications and Experience
* Current National Police Check
* Current First Aid & CPR certification
* Valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check – QLD)
* Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle (community-based role)
* Previous experience in domestic cleaning, community care or aged care
* Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or similar qualification
* Previous experience in community-based aged care services
