Seacliff Healthcare is seeking an GP Practice nurse to provide high quality nursing care for our patients and positive clinical assistance for doctors. Experience in general practice is preferred but not absolutely necessary for the right candidate. 30 hours per week over 5 days, F/T or P/T, job staring possible. School hours possible.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
Seacliff Healthcare is an expanding medical service company located in Thirroul, northern Wollongong, providing beautiful facilities and high quality secretarial and nursing support staff for tenant doctors, of whom we currently have 5. The Practice is accredited with AGPAL and the doctors provide comprehensive general practice services to the local community. It is open Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm. We currently have work available for a Registered Nurse for 30 hours per week working Monday to Friday. Job sharing and flexible hours to suit school drop offs are possible
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is required.
A suitable candidate must be able to collaborate in a positive and collegial way with secretarial and medical staff and have excellent communication skills with patients.
We are for a hard working, independent nurse practitioner to take ownership and show leadership in developing with us a high quality GP nursing service for our patients and community.
We will support you with suitable training and on boarding.
Skills required:
Immunisation knowledge and experience - for vaccinating children and adults.
IV cannulation and blood collection skills
Iron infusions
ECGs, Spirometry
Dressings/wound care.
Assisting GPs with minor ops
Develop and maintain Nursing Appointments
Health Assessments / Care management plans for over 75 year olds, 45-49 year olds, and menopausal patients, using a template, in collaboration with the patient's GP.
Vaccine fridge monitoring, cold chain management, fridge maintenance and supplies
Preparing Audits using PenCat or through Best Practice when requested and reporting to the Practice Principal.
Assisting the Practice Principal and Practice Manager with Practice Accreditation
Knowledge of Practice Hub, MyMedicare, Best Practice, Cubiko and Hotdoc are an advantage.
Stock rotation and ordering through Practice Hub
Clinical notes using Best Practice medical record system.
Promoting a safe and infection-free environment by following strict hygiene protocols, as written in the Practice policy and procedures manual.
Actively participating in essential training in the Practice's policies and procedure and the clinic's continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining professional development.
