About the role
As a Litigation Lawyer at De Silva Hebron Barristers and Solicitors' in Darwin NT 0800, you will be responsible for providing exceptional legal representation and dispute resolution services to our diverse client base. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and dynamic law firm, where you will play a vital part in achieving successful outcomes for our clients.
What you'll be doing
1. Advising clients on a wide range of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, property disputes, employment issues, and more
2. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective litigation strategies
3. Drafting and filing court documents, such as pleadings, affidavits, and submissions
4. Representing clients in court and at alternative dispute resolution proceedings, such as mediation and arbitration
5. Negotiating settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
6. Maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
7. Collaborating with the broader legal team to share knowledge and provide support as needed
What we're looking for
1. Admitted to practice law in Australia, with 3-5 years of post-admission experience in litigation and dispute resolution
2. Demonstrated expertise in handling a variety of litigation matters, with a strong track record of successful outcomes
3. Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
4. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner
5. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently
6. Commitment to providing exceptional client service and upholding the highest professional and ethical standards
7. Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
