Step into a pivotal role as a Lead – Process, Controls & Risk Management within Westpac’s Finance Transformation team, based in Sydney. You’ll be at the heart of the SRDE Migration Program – a critical initiative modernising the systems that underpin credit risk, capital management and regulatory reporting. This ensures Westpac meets its regulatory obligations while driving sustainable, future-ready outcomes. As a Lead for Process, Controls & Risk Management, you’ll be the driving force behind seamless delivery – ensuring the right frameworks and controls are in place to set the program up for success. Your mission? Lead the Process, Controls & Risk Management stream end to end, shaping scope, delivery and strategic alignment with program objectives Apply strong project leadership, governance and risk management expertise to drive business readiness for migration cutovers Partner closely with business, technology and risk professionals to build trust, confidence and collaboration Identify, assess and mitigate risk across the program to ensure seamless and safe delivery Translate risks into meaningful insights that link clearly to business goals and support informed decisions Champion agile ways of working through disciplined execution, strong Jira hygiene and quality artefact management To thrive in this role, you’ll draw on a practical mix of risk, technology and communication skills that help you guide teams and support sound decision making. What do I need? Proven experience in leading medium-to-large scale projects (up to $20M, 18-month duration) in complex, highly regulated environments Strong financial services experience, with the ability to navigate scale, pace and ambiguity Solid understanding of technology risk, controls, regulatory and compliance frameworks Demonstrated ability to lead through complex changes and deliver sustainable outcomes across the program Relevant tertiary qualifications with project management certifications (PMP or AIPM) highly regarded.
