Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, guide, and support workshop staff to meet quality, productivity, and safety goals
- Job & Schedule Coordination: Plan and allocate daily activities effectively to meet delivery timelines and DIFOT targets
- Quality & Compliance: Monitor output to ensure it aligns with ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 3834 standards
- Safety & Environmental Management: Maintain a safe work environment and uphold WHS protocols
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with planning, production, and clients to foster clear communication and solve challenges
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process enhancements and drive positive change through leadership and example
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience supervising in a fabrication or machining workshop environment, with a proven ability to lead teams and manage performance outcomes effectively.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of fabrication and machining processes, materials, and industry standards. Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.
- Workforce Leadership: Confident in directing, supporting, and developing workshop employees with fairness, integrity, and motivation, while fostering a cooperative team environment.
- Safety & Compliance Awareness: In-depth knowledge of WHS protocols and the ability to actively promote a safe and respectful workplace culture.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer programs and data entry, including experience navigating ERP systems for production tracking and documentation.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders, build trust, and support team cohesion.
