The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trade Assistant to join HM and play a vital role in supporting our production and assembly operations. This hands-on position involves assisting cross-functional teams, maintaining a clean and organised workspace and ensuring tools, equipment and materials are ready for use. You’ll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help keep workflows running smoothly across our advanced aerospace manufacturing environment.
Position Responsibilities
* Assist with general workshop duties including cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas.
* Support production workflows by operating work centres and equipment as requested.
* Help with part picking, inventory coordination, and stores organisation.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
* Accurately follow instructions and maintain digital records of production activities.
* Provide support for receiving, delivery, and pickup of items as required.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Experience in an Industrial or Manufacturing environment.
* Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and follow instructions accurately.
* Capable of managing repetitive tasks with consistency and care.
* Cooperative and team-focused, with a positive and approachable attitude.
* Reliable and proactive with a commitment to safety and quality.
* A valid Australian driver’s license (Full Class C) is required; forklift license is advantageous.

Inherent Requirements
* Due to the nature and privilege of information, and in accordance with Australian Standards for Workforce Screening (ISO 4811-2022), it is an inherent requirement that a security screening process (including a police check) are undertaken prior to employment, HM will facilitate this process.
* Applicants must be located on or willing to relocate to the Sunshine Coast.
HM utilises overtime rates for hours worked in excess of 38. We will provide an indication of approximate earnings with shortlisted candidates to ensure this aligns with their expectation.
