About our department
We provide fire, rescue, and emergency management programs and services throughout the region. We have many capabilities, partners, and services, including disaster management services, a Fire Service, and an Emergency Service.
Purpose of Role
The Partnerships unit oversees negotiation and delivery of partnership arrangements that provide ongoing support for volunteer emergency services and/or other departmental programs or events. This ensures alignment with government priorities and compliance that enables our team to support service and community capability.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on identified activities and events to ensure project milestones, timeframes, and deliverables meet business, service, and organisational outcomes.
Your key accountabilities include:
- Providing high-level support and contributing to implementation of projects, procedures, standards, and guidelines to deliver a robust and sustainable model.
- Liaising, consulting, and negotiating effectively with existing and potential sponsors, partners, and stakeholders, including coordination of events relative to sponsorships and associated tasks.
- Evaluating outcomes against agreed contract deliverables, in consultation with manager and partner organisations to develop accurate reporting and effective administration of agreements.
