Teaching Role
About this role:
You will be responsible for creating a safe, fun and inclusive environment for children of primary school age. This will involve supervising and engaging children in activities before and after school as well as during the school holidays.
We are a not-for-profit organisation with a strong focus on our community. We invest in the training and development of our staff to ensure they have the skills needed to provide the best possible care for children.
You will work to promote the wellbeing, confidence and friendships of the children through play. This will involve supervising children during playtime, leading or assisting with hands-on activities and working to create a positive and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions
* Run or assist with hands-on activities during Vacation Care
* Promote children's wellbeing, confidence and friendships through play
Requirements:
* Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
* A great sense of fun, energy and creativity
* A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children
* Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
