We’re currently recruiting for an Industrial Maintenance Electrician on behalf of a well-established manufacturer with a long-standing footprint in the Australian building and construction sector. With decades of consistent growth, this is a company known for stability, strong leadership, and investing in modern production systems.
The Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on keeping the plant running at full capacity.
Key responsibilities include:
* Electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repair of manufacturing machinery including extruders, mixers, conveyors, and automated systems
* Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance in line with CMMS schedules to reduce unplanned downtime
* Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production
* Assisting with installations, upgrades, and commissioning of new plant and equipment
* Working with PLC systems (troubleshooting and basic programming/modifications)
* Maintaining compliance with all safety standards and isolation procedures
* Collaborating with mechanical fitters, operators, and production teams to identify recurring issues and suggest improvements
* Completing shift reports and maintenance records accurately and on time
Roster + Pay
* 2 days on, 2 nights on, 4 days off
* 12-hour shifts (includes $400 shift allowance per cycle)
* Approx. $113k base + super + overtime
* Weekly pay includes:
o 38 hours at standard time
o 4 hours at double time
o All overtime above this paid at double time
What You’ll Need
* QLD Electrical Licence
* Solid experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
* Strong fault-finding skills and an understanding of preventative maintenance practices
* Flexibility to work rotating day/night shifts
