As a member of the engineering team, the maintenance fitter provides technical services to the engineering department by performing maintenance on machinery, equipment, and services. This includes pursuing mechanical maintenance improvements and driving a high-quality culture and standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct preventative maintenance according to site requirements
* Troubleshoot machines and equipment by making assessments of problems and estimating duration of time to repair
* Respond to machine breakdowns and take corrective action promptly
* Report production or machine problems and issues through defect handling systems
* Utilize tools such as MEX, PM check sheets, schematic drawings, and technical manuals
* Demonstrate an exemplary safety ethic and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the plant
* Participate in on-call rosters for after-hours breakdowns as required
About You:
* Hold a trade qualification in maintenance fitter, with advanced certificate welcomed
* Have previous experience in fault-finding automated machinery
* Demonstrate a good understanding of mechanical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, and air systems
