An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Transformation and Operations division supporting the AML application Fraud team.
The purpose of the Applications Fraud Investigation Analyst position is to minimise the BOQ Group's fraud and non-lending losses and reduce the Group's exposure to fraud by providing a professional monitoring, detection, and prevention service for the BOQ Group. This role is responsible for investigating fraud across all divisions of the BOQ Group, including BOQ, ME, and VMA streams of credit applications.
1. Contribute to the application fraud team with the goal of detecting, mitigating, and preventing fraud in credit applications for the BOQ group.
2. Manage a large caseload, including complex and prolonged fraud investigations of Mule, ID Takeover, and falsified credit applications from all divisions within the BOQ Group.
3. Identify fraud patterns and trends, and contribute to the development of improved awareness, controls, policies, and procedures.
4. Maintain effective relationships with relevant third parties (e.g., customers, suppliers, regulators) to achieve successful business outcomes.
5. Comply with all policies and delegations applicable to the activities and decisions required in this role.
6. Provide insights and act as a Subject Matter Expert in application fraud investigations.
About you
Qualifications:
* Qualifications related to fraud, investigations, or regulatory compliance are desirable.
Experience:
* Previous banking or regulatory experience.
* Experience in lending assessment (highly desirable).
* Knowledge of financial statement analysis is advantageous.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Exceptional knowledge of fraud investigation.
* Operational experience in a financial institution.
* Excellent time management, organization, delegation, and prioritization skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
