About the Role:
The Train Guard is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of heritage trains and delivering an engaging experience for passengers.
Key responsibilities include conducting pre-departure checks, assisting the Locomotive Driver, managing passenger boarding and alighting, and providing essential communications.
In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, Train Guards participate in required training and competency assessments. This includes learning and applying safe working procedures under direct supervision.
