Remuneration
Total Remuneration Package: Remuneration package valued at $197,241.00. This position attracts a base salary of $174,034.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.
Position Information
Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design is an inclusive comprehensive coeducational specialist selective high school of approximately 800 students, located in Sydney's Inner West. The school offers a broad curriculum with a specialisation in visual arts and design and provides extensive extra‐curricular and enrichment programs. With 13% of our students born overseas and over 50 different languages spoken at home, the school values diversity, creativity and innovation, and strives to deliver high expectations in academic achievement.
Specific Selection Criteria
* Established practice and proven experience in leading and supporting teachers to enhance innovative, data‐driven pedagogies and administrative practice which supports teaching and learning across the curriculum.
* Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive school environment, with a proven capacity to lead initiatives that support diverse learners, within the Wellbeing Framework.
* Strong understanding of, and demonstrated capacity to lead, curriculum priorities including HPGE, through innovative programs, partnerships and extension opportunities that extend student learning beyond the classroom.
* Proven capacity to be a highly visible, collaborative leader who displays emotional intelligence to enhance a culture of high expectations for staff and students.
General Selection Criteria
* Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
* Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
* Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
