The Site and FIFO
The operation is a large underground hard rock mine located in regional South Australia, approximately one hour's flight from Adelaide. Backed by a multi-year contract, the site provides a high-quality FIFO experience.
Site features include:
* Modern, well-appointed camp facilities including gym and wet mess
* Camp located close to the mine to minimise daily travel
* High-quality catering and food standards
* 2:2 roster - days, then nights, followed by 14 days off
* Interstate flights provided from major capital cities
The Role and Duties
You will be part of an experienced trades team working across both the workshop and underground environments, supporting a diverse fleet of UG mining equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Surface and underground workshop maintenance including servicing, repairs, PMs, scheduled maintenance and breakdown response
* Field service work including diagnostics, fault finding, repairs and problem-solving
* Working on a variety of underground equipment including development drills, load & haul machinery, ground support and charge-up equipment
Roster & Hours
* 2:2 roster consisting of 7 days, 7 nights, followed by 14 days off
* 12-hour shifts on a Wednesday-to-Wednesday swing
* Fly to site on Day -1 (Tuesday) and stay in camp prior to commencing day shift at 6:00am
* Fly home Wednesday morning at approximately 8:00am, with interstate connections arranged where required
Your Value
You will hold a recognised mechanical trade qualification and have current or recent experience working in underground hard rock mining.
You will also bring:
* Exposure to drills, boggers, trucks and/or ground support equipment
* Ability to work effectively in both workshop and field environments
* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required
* Capability across mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical fault finding
* A strong safety-first mindset and commitment to site protocols
