Position Information
Georges River College Hurstville Campus is a vibrant co‐educational setting for Years 7‐10, with approximately 325 students, 86% from non‐English speaking backgrounds. The school prioritises Positive Behaviour for Learning, fosters collaborative culture, and offers a broad range of co‐curricular programs. The Support Unit includes Autism (AU) and Autism/Moderate Intellectual Disability (IO) classes. High‐impact professional learning supports teacher practice.
The successful candidate will teach in the PDHPE Faculty and develop the Dance program across the school. They will contribute to faculty planning, whole‐school programmes and foster positive relationships with students, staff and the community.
Qualifications & Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach PDHPE and Dance.
* Ability to implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse students, fostering a high‐expectations behaviour culture and student growth.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills to contribute to faculty planning and whole‐school programmes, and build positive relationships.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold full approval with the NSW Department of Education, you must commence the application process concurrently with this application. Applicants must include their WWCC clearance number.
