We are seeking an experienced Project Cost Controller to provide specialist cost control and forecasting support across large, complex capital projects within heavy industrial environments.
This is a site-based role working closely with Project Managers, Planning, Procurement, Construction, and Finance teams to ensure robust cost governance and transparent reporting across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
* Establish and manage cost breakdown structures aligned to scope and schedule
* Monitor, analyse, and forecast project costs, commitments, and accruals
* Prepare accurate monthly cost reports, trend analysis, and variance explanations
* Track cost impacts from changes, risks, and opportunities
* Review and validate contractor claims and cost performance
* Support funding approvals, tendering activities, and project assurance reviews
* Contribute to project closeout, capitalisation, and post‐project reviews
* Apply and promote standardised cost control practices and continuous improvement
About You
* Degree qualified in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or similar (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in project cost control within mining, refining, or heavy industrial capital projects
* Experience on large, multi‐disciplinary projects
* Strong knowledge of cost governance, forecasting, and reporting frameworks
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with project cost management systems
* Confident communicator with the ability to present cost insights to senior stakeholders
* High regard for safety, compliance, and working to established standards
