Job Description
The role of Senior Lawyer involves providing timely and strategic legal advice to senior management within the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
As a Senior Lawyer, you will work closely with the Director of Legal and Integrity to deliver expert legal advice on complex issues affecting the court.
You will also assist the Chief Justice and CEO/PR in relation to matters arising from legal issues within their operations.
The court's legal office focuses on Workplace & WHS Law issues, covering employment law, industrial relations, discrimination, work health and safety, complaints handling and investigations, constitutional law issues, litigation management, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver timely and comprehensive legal advice to senior management on workplace relations matters.
* Provide expert, authoritative, and strategic legal advice on critical issues impacting the courts.
* Assist the CEO/PR and Deputy Principal Registrar in relation to complaints against Registrars and staff.
* Manage processes effectively and efficiently, complying with statutory and administrative guidelines.
