As the Manager Community Safety, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and well-being of our diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities:
In this dynamic leadership position, you will:
Oversee Ranger Services, ensuring the highest level of compliance and community engagement.
Develop and implement strategic plans for emergency services, fire management, and community safety.
Lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated team to drive positive community outcomes.
Build strong relationships with residents, stakeholders, and local business to foster a culture of safety and trust.
**Skills and Experience Requirements**:
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance, and enforcement practices.
- Extensive experience in community safety, emergency services, and incident management.
- Proven leadership with strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience in fire management, firefighting, and bushfire safety.
- Strategic and operational expertise, including budget management and planning.
- Must have proven experience in managing and leading a team of
- Strong IT proficiency (MS Office, Synergy) with excellent administration and report-writing skills.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Diploma or higher in Leadership & Management, Local Government (Regulatory Services), or a related field.
- Fire Control Officer (DFES) and Recovery Coordination experience preferred.
