About the role SA Health operates a coordinated program for trainees in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology. Successful applicants will contribute to the provision of Infectious Diseases and/or Microbiology Services within the objectives and philosophies of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital campuses), the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (Flinders Medical Centre campus), Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (Lyell McEwin Hospital campus), SA Pathology, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA). Fulfilling a commitment to inpatient and ambulatory care, research, education and teaching, you will supervise junior medical practitioners in the admission and continuing management of Infectious Diseases patients. Attending daily ward rounds, you will participate in a rotating on-call roster with other medical practitioner staff for after hours and weekend cover for the relevant Unit, under the overall supervision of the relevant Infectious Diseases/Microbiology Consultant.
