Overview
We are a large family owned Broiler Free Range Farm with 6 large modern and automated sheds, located approximately 25km North of Donald, Vic 3480.
We are looking for a Broiler Poultry Farm Hand that will lead into a Co-Manager role for the right candidate. The nearby town has two schools, one private and one public, as well as various services and amenities. The town also has a vibrant sporting culture for those who enjoy physical activities.
Responsibilities
Ensuring the health and welfare of our animals
Providing adequate nutrition, feed management and monitoring
Overseeing general farming activities such as maintaining sheds, controlling pests and weeds
Maintain litter quality to the highest standard (Dry & friable)
Keeping and evaluating records of farming activities
Ensuring that the farm is always audit ready and compliant with industry standards (RSPCA)
Maintaining workplace health and safety
Operating machinery, removal of litter, washing and preparing for day old chicks
Willing to work some weekends and after hours
