Key Responsibilities:
* Operate heavy mobile equipment primarily Track Dozers, Wheel Loaders and Graders in a hard-rock open-cut mining environment.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
* Support load and haul activities in the preparation of drill patterns, clearances of new areas and maintenance of all infrastructure.
* Assist loader operators to maintain optimal cycle times.
* Input production data onto daily production sheets for reporting back to supervisors.
* Maintain housekeeping standards in all work areas.
* Conduct machinery pre-starts to identify faults or hazards.
* Operate allocated machines within specifications and site requirements.
* Participate in training opportunities.
* Use fleet management systems appropriate to the machine operated.
* Collaborate with colleagues and follow industry best practices.
* Perform additional tasks and operate mobile machinery as required.
