The Role
We're seeking passionate freelance writers to attend exhibitions, festivals, and cultural events, and craft engaging, insightful reviews and features for our platform. You'll have the creative freedom to explore the art world while contributing to a growing global arts community.
What You'll Do
• Attend art exhibitions, gallery openings, biennales, triennales, and cultural festivals
• Write well-researched, engaging reviews and feature articles words)
• Conduct artist interviews and create compelling profiles
• Capture the essence of cultural experiences through thoughtful critique and analysis
• Meet deadlines and maintain consistent quality across all published content
**What We're Looking For
Essential:**
• Exceptional English writing skills with a distinctive voice
• Genuine passion for contemporary art and cultural events
• Knowledge of art history, movements, and critical theory
• Ability to write both analytical reviews and accessible features
• Strong research and fact-checking skills
• Self-motivated with excellent time management
Bonus Points:
• Published portfolio in arts and culture publications
• Experience covering international art events
• Multilingual capabilities (especially Russian, Japanese, or Arabic)
• Photography skills
• Social media presence in the arts community
