In this dynamic and hands-on role, you'll apply your expertise in chemical or materials engineering or chemistry to support technical investigations, failure analysis, and materials characterisation. From coordinating project deliverables to conducting complex laboratory testing, you'll contribute to work that directly informs real-world outcomes for industry clients. You will also have the opportunity to broaden your skills, with support to grow into a future consultant role.

Key responsibilities will include :
* Coordinate and support the delivery of materials science and chemistry consulting projects, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
* Conduct technical investigations and laboratory testing, including chemical analysis and mechanical properties testing of polymeric and ceramic materials, and interpret results to support client reports.
* Maintain and troubleshoot scientific equipment, ensuring laboratory facilities operate safely and efficiently.
* Assist in preparing technical documentation, including reports, proposals, and presentations, in collaboration with senior staff.

To succeed in this role, we ask that you also bring:
* A degree in engineering or science (chemical, materials, mechanical or similar), or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
* Practical experience with laboratory equipment and techniques relevant to materials and/or chemical engineering.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
* Well-organised, methodical, and self-motivated with a high attention to detail.
* Previous experience in a research or technical support role, with post-graduate study viewed favourably.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
