Our client is a mid sized and very successful software development organisation based in St Leonards - they are close to public transport and offer free on site parking.
Their software solutions is used by a number of Councils and other organisations in Australia. It includes featured like payments and licensing.
Their current solution is in a transitional state : a legacy platform is about to be replaced with a Cloud (Azure) based platform.
In order to facilitate this transition, they are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to help transform processes, ensure high quality software development, as well as manage the development teams (both local and overseas based) and Vendor teams.
The purpose of the role is to lead the Software Development teams and ensure best practice is embedded in the SDLC/development operations.
**Your responsibilities will include the following**:
- Lead the Dev teams to develop a continuous integration and delivery, secure by design principles
- Identify opportunities for process automation
- Assist with CI and CD best practice
- Manage resources as per SLAs
- Coach and mentor the teams and drive a culture of continuous improvement
- Oversee the work of external Vendors
**Your background will include the following**:
- Implementation CI /CD, DevOps practices
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dev environment and Azure
- Agile development methodology
- Familiarity with C++ development - Java will also be considered.
