Guidance Counsellor Position
About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our educational community as a Guidance Counsellor. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the holistic development, mental health and wellbeing of students.
The Guidance Counsellor will be responsible for facilitating proactive and preventative practices and initiatives, managing counselling and consulting services, and providing psycho-educational assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategies to promote student wellbeing and academic success
* Provide individual and group counselling services to students
* Conduct psycho-educational assessments and develop reports
* Maintain accurate records and meet reporting requirements
Requirements:
To be successful in this position, you will need:
* Relevant contemporary skills and experience in school guidance and counselling
* Experience in identifying and developing activities to address academic and life career development of students
* Knowledge of psycho-educational assessments and report writing
* Collaboration and communication skills

Eligibility:
Eligibility to work in Australia requires completion of a Masters in school guidance and counselling or full registration as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
