Carer Hub Navigator (Part-time, 22.8 hrs per week)
Wellways, a leading not‐for‐profit mental health and disability support organisation, invites applications for an exciting new role that combines community development with carer support. This position is based in the Rockhampton region and offers a flexible part‐time schedule of 22.8 hours per week.
About the opportunity
We are looking for Carer Hub Navigators who will be the welcoming face and guiding hand for carers in our new Carer Hubs. This role adopts a "no wrong door" approach and is designed to raise awareness and enhance accessibility to Carer Gateway services through the Carer Gateway Hub.
Responsibilities
- Build seamless connections between carers and community resources, fostering relationships that support wellbeing and independence.
- Support carers to thrive by addressing holistic well‐being needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Deliver a "no wrong door" service approach, ensuring carers can find the assistance they need wherever they are.
- Oversee the Gladstone Carer Hub, facilitating social interaction and promoting wellbeing, connection and a sense of belonging.
Qualifications
- Experience working with family carers in mental health, alcohol and other drug, and community support services.
- Diploma or above in a support discipline and/or equivalent community sector experience.
- Current valid Driver's Licence.
- Strong technology skills and appropriate IT skills.
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check (within 12 months).
- WWCC / QLD Blue Card.
- NDIS Workers Screening check / QLD Yellow Card.
- Right to work within Australia.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
