About the role
We are seeking an experienced Bobcat and Excavator Operator to join our team at True Northern Concrete in Townsville, Queensland. As a casual worker, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our construction site, operating both bobcat and excavator machinery to support the delivery of our projects.
What you'll be doing
1. Operating bobcat and excavator machinery safely and efficiently to complete a range of construction tasks
2. Performing routine maintenance and pre-start checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
3. Collaborating with the wider construction team to achieve project milestones and targets
4. Adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations on site
5. Reporting any issues or concerns to the site supervisor in a timely manner
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience as a bobcat and/or excavator operator in the construction industry
2. A minimum of 1-2 years of bobcat and excavator operating experience is required
3. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the wider construction crew
5. Commitment to working safely and following all site policies and procedures
6. Relevant construction or plant operation qualifications or certifications
7. MR licence plus plant tickets are required to operate bobcat and excavator machinery
8. Ability to read footing plans or want to learn
