About The OPPORTUNITY
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Practitioner Project Manager within the Hunter Program based in Osborne Naval Shipyard, South Australia. The role reports to the Delivery Project Manager and supports the Phase Managers with tracking enablement and delivery of the Manufacturing Delivery scope.
Key Responsibilities
* Track enablement and delivery of the Manufacturing Delivery scope, driving schedule delivery and cost recovery.
* Manage risks, issues, actions, and changes for the Manufacturing Delivery Project Management team.
* Assist Fabrication and Construction Managers and IWT Managers with small projects where project management is valuable.
* Build and maintain effective relationships across functional areas to achieve objectives, critical success factors, and milestones.
* Incorporate project management best practices across Fabrication and Construction phases, supporting IWT Managers with implementation and reporting.
* Align schedules across WBS levels, escalating issues and supporting performance measurement baselines.
* Generate and update Manufacturing Delivery reporting for operational and program meetings.
* Coordinate documentation of Learning from Experience (LfE) between Program phases.
* Identify and mitigate project risks and opportunities throughout contract phases.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or equivalent (advantageous).
* Demonstrated experience in a project or business management role.
* Experience planning and delivering discrete project outcomes in a low‐complexity environment.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
* Experience coordinating cross‐functional teams.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a minimum BASELINE Security Clearance, or a higher level if required.
