We are seeking a versatile Documentation & Packaging Designer to support the development, presentation, and delivery of our industrial equipment products. This cross functioning role combines technical documentation, packaging development, and CAD-based visualisation, working closely with sales, engineering, product, and design teams.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with complex mechanical systems, translating technical information into clear documentation, and using SolidWorks to extract parts, components, and exploded views for manuals, packaging, and product communication.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Documentation
* Create, edit, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, quick-start guides, and training materials for industrial equipment.
* Translate complex engineering and technical information into clear, concise documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ensure documentation is accurate, structured, user-focused, and aligned with documentation standards and best practices.
* Review, update, and maintain existing documentation to reflect product changes, updates, and stakeholder feedback.
* Manage version control and maintain organised documentation repositories.
Packaging & Product Presentation
Develop and maintain packaging documentation and specifications for industrial and workplace equipment.
* Create product branding overviews and packaging visuals using Adobe Photoshop, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
* Collaborate with packaging, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure packaging solutions are practical, compliant, and clearly communicated.
* Ensure packaging documentation supports safe handling, transport, and installation of industrial equipment.
CAD & Technical Visualisation
Use SolidWorks to extract parts and components from CAD assemblies.
* Create exploded views, technical illustrations, and visual assets for use in manuals, packaging, and training materials.
* Work with engineers to validate technical accuracy of CAD-derived visuals and diagrams.
Collaboration & Project Management
* Liaise with engineers, technical SMEs, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure documentation and packaging outputs are complete and accurate.
* Manage timelines and priorities, responding to ad-hoc requests while maintaining high quality standards.
* Contribute to documentation, packaging, and visual communication standards, processes, and guidelines.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Proven experience producing customer-facing technical documentation for complex or industrial products.
Experience working with industrial equipment, machinery, or engineered products.
Proficiency in SolidWorks, with hands-on experience extracting parts, components, and creating exploded views from assemblies.
* Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, with experience creating product branding overviews and packaging-related visuals.
* Strong understanding of technical writing principles and documentation best practices.
* Ability to translate complex mechanical or technical concepts into clear, everyday language.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Bachelor's degree in a communications, engineering, industrial design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience working in an Agile or cross-functional product development environment is an advantage.
* Experience in CAD (Solidworks):Creating Spec Drawings, line drawings which will be used for user manuals and documentation
