Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
● Australian Trade Certificate in Automotive Technology
● Minimum 1 year experience as a Motor Mechanic in a busy Australian workshop
● Experience with all types of vehicles (not limited to a specific brand)
● Experience with Ultra Tune network or general auto maintenance is an advantage
Key Duties:
● Discuss vehicle problems with drivers/operators to identify faults
● Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair for proper performance
● Tune engines using electronic equipment for smoother running
● Repair and replace worn or defective parts, reassemble mechanical components, and refer to service manuals as needed
● Perform scheduled maintenance services (oil changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups) to ensure smooth operation and compliance with pollution regulations
● Test and repair electrical systems, including lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection
● Reassemble engines and parts after repairs
● Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
● Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls
