What You'll Be Doing
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant in Nursing to join our Rehabilitation Unit and expand their career within a supportive and dedicated team environment.
You Will Work As Part Of a Unit Committed To Providing Excellent, Patient‐centred Care, Supporting Clients From Admission Through To Discharge. The Rehabilitation Ward has a diverse caseload and operates as a stand‐alone 22‐bed unit specialising in:
* Stroke
* Acquired Brain Injury
* Neurological Disorders
* Lower Limb Amputations
* General Debility
* Geriatric Assessment
* Spinal and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
The unit provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to patients aged 16 years and over. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of experienced Rehabilitation and Geriatric specialists, where staff are valued and supported to enhance their skills and knowledge through ongoing education.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering individualised patient care in line with care plans
* Undertaking hourly rounding using HAIDET, ISBAR and patient care boards
* Maintaining timely, accurate documentation that aligns with policy and legal requirements
* Supporting patients with daily activities and rehabilitation goals
You will be supported in your role by the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Leaders and the Education Team, and will receive a comprehensive orientation to both the unit and the facility.

Requirements
* Certificate III Assistant in Nursing or currently enrolled in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree (completion of first year and first semester or trimester of second year), or currently enrolled in a TAFE NSW Diploma of Nursing (completion of identified foundational units in practice AND 120 hours of clinical placement).
