About the Opportunity

Glenelg Shire Council are looking for a dynamic
Information and Data Coordinator
to lead the charge in delivering high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused information and data management services across Council. This is a 6 month, fixed, full time contract.
In this key leadership role, you'll guide and grow our Information and Data Unit - driving a culture that values strong records management, data integrity, and legislative compliance. From shaping innovative processes and organisational action plans to supporting the rollout of our Information Technology and Information & Data Strategy, you'll be at the forefront of building smarter systems and better outcomes.

To excel in this role, you'll bring a strong mix of technical expertise and leadership capability, including:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Information and Data Management, or extensive experience with a lesser qualification.
Proven leadership experience in information and data management (Local Government experience a plus).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and motivate.
Experience with Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams including experience managing records and data in Microsoft 365, including lifecycle, protection, and compliance.
Solid understanding of relevant legislation, with experience delivering compliance and risk-focused programs.
A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
