About the Role This role involves carrying out mechanical installation, maintenance and repair work in a workshop environment, supporting the build and overhaul of heavy underground mining equipment such as shuttle cars, long wall equipment, feeder breakers, and multi-bolters. Dayshift: 6am - 3pm Afternoon Shift: 2.45pm - 11.15pm Key Responsibilities: Carry out mechanical fitting work to required standards Assembly, disassembly and overhaul of heavy mining equipment Stripping, inspection and measurement of mechanical components Recording inspection results and critical component information Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications Working with hydraulic systems and mechanical components Maintaining tools, equipment and a safe work environment Supporting trades assistants and apprentices where required What is needed to be successful: Trade Qualified - Mechanical / Diesel / Hydraulic Fitter Experience working on heavy industrial or mining equipment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics High attention to detail and commitment to quality work Desirable: Post trade hydraulics - Forklift & Dogman ticket If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
