Want to push technical boundaries in an innovation-lab style startup?
This is a rare role for someone who wants to truly stretch their engineering ability. You’ll be given the opportunity to push technical boundaries, run ‘experiments’, and work inside an R&D style environment where the most common answer to “why?” is “why not!”
We’re hiring on behalf of a fintech startup that runs like an innovation lab. 100% owned by one of the most influential financial institutions in the county, there’s zero funding risk, and full creative runway.
You’ll join one of the most skilled engineering teams in Australia, made up of individuals from VMWare, Astronomer, Atlassian, Canva, Safety Culture, Tyro, and more, where you’ll work collaboratively across multiple product experiments with the goal of building something(s) exceptional that will stick and scale to millions.
Best of all, as a market is needed to trial and ship what gets built, the experiments are packaged in a way that helps Australians live a more financially stable, freeing and fulfilling life when they reach retirement.

What you’ll do
* Build and ship full-stack features across mobile and web using React, React Native, TypeScript, Golang, and AWS.
* Solve real-time technical challenges where accuracy and milliseconds matter.
* Work in tandem with product, design, and engineering leadership to build great experiences.
* Contribute to system architecture and long-term tech decisions.
* Mentor others, raise the already high bar, and shape a culture of excellence.
You might be who we’re looking for if...
* You’ve got 5+ years as a full stack engineer (web or mobile), with at least some of that coming in velocity, high performing startup environments.
* You’ve shipped in React/React Native + TypeScript across web and/or mobile.
* You’ve touched Golang (or others such as Node, Java, Python etc) + AWS before and are keen to go deeper with Golang.
* You’re comfortable working in ambiguity, with speed and high standards.
* You love the idea of learning from and being surrounded by those better than you.
