Role Description
The Youth Worker provides advocacy, liaison, support andreferral services to Aboriginal young people across all Youth andFamily Services
To be considered for this position, you willrequire:
* Identifies an Aboriginal person; recognised and accepted as anAboriginal person by the Aboriginal community
* Minimum Certificate III qualification, or studying towards, inCommunity Service, Youth Work, Social Work, Juvenile Justice orWelfare
* Proven ability to engage and work with Aboriginal youngpeople
* Experience in and knowledge of crisis intervention techniquesand harm minimisation strategies
* Current NT Drivers Licence or the ability to obtainone
