The Manager, Contracts & Vendors is responsible for leading the planning and execution of the Bureau of Meteorology's contract and vendor management practices consistent with legislation, Government policy and enterprise processes. The role plays an integral part in the overall effectiveness of the Procurement & Contracts function, ensuring both strategic priorities and governance requirements are balanced to support delivery of Bureau strategy.
With experience in establishing and improving enterprise contract and vendor management practices in an organisation, the Manager, Contracts and Vendors will collaborate with the Bureaus considerable commercial knowledge to deliver strategic and compliant contracts in line with Government policy and industry best practice standards, frameworks, practices and tools.
The role will have full responsibility for leading and managing the Contract and Vendor team and will be responsible for ensuring the Bureau contract managers understand and comply with the defined frameworks. The incumbent must have significant experience working in fast-moving, distributed, ambiguous environments delivering to both strategic and operational business requirements.
