Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Launceston, TAS for multiple Quarry Operators. These positions will be responsible for operating and maintaining quarry equipment, managing material extraction and processing, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing equipment checks, monitoring operations for adherence to efficiency and quality standards, and collaborating with the team to deliver material orders on schedule. These roles play a key part in maintaining and improving production workflows while ensuring a safe workplace environment.
Qualifications
Experience in operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and crushers is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of quarry operations, including material extraction, processing, and stockpiling is advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations
Basic mechanical skills for equipment inspection and minor repairs
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Current driver's license and relevant heavy vehicle or machinery licenses
Previous experience in the construction, mining, or quarrying industry is advantageous
Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
