As a Practice Development Nurse – Specialist, you will play a crucial part in ensuring best practice by providing ongoing education and support to all staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate targeted education programs and clinical support to enhance nursing staff skills and knowledge.
* Collaborate closely with NUMs, E&L Coordinators, Managers, educators, preceptors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
* Assist in developing education resources, policy updates, and best-practice initiatives to integrate feedback, research, and digital tools.
* Promote reflective practice, maintain clinical competence, and model the values of compassion, integrity, justice, and excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Current Nursing Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
* Degree in General Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery board of Australia.
* Postgraduate Qualifications in relevant nursing speciality, preferably a Masters in Advanced Nursing (or working towards).
* Postgraduate qualification in Education, Clinical Supervision or similar (or working towards)
* Minimum 5 years nursing experience.
* Experience in clinical teaching, clinical supervision, or implementation and facilitation of educational programs.
* High-level learning and development facilitation experience and presentation skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines.
* Competent computer skills including; PowerPoint, excel, word.
