We are currently seeking applications for an Applications Technical Analyst, to join the Information and Technology branch within The Department of Treasury & Finance for an initial period of 12 months with a possibility of extension.

Remuneration: ASO5 – Salary Range (ASO5 $85,790 - $95,413 p.a.)

About the opportunity:

As an Applications Technical Analyst responsible for the application support (Level 3) for a designated portfolio of business applications within the Department of Treasury and Finance. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure application quality, and address technical issues. Staying current with emerging technologies and working effectively within a team will be key to your success in delivering high-quality software solutions.

As an Applications Technical Analyst is responsible for identifying issues related to problems and specifying their implications and potential solutions. The analyst is required to monitor the progress and outcomes of regular operational tasks in order to identify incidents requiring intervention.

The Applications Technical Analyst is required to follow the ICT Services defined processes for application development, release and change management and security compliance within DTF.

To be successful you will possess:

* Experience in, and knowledge of, digital application development in a large and complex organisation at a senior level including relevant governance and security ICT frameworks and standards and contemporary project management methodologies relevant to a government environment.
* Extensive experience in application development using relevant programming languages and technologies (e.g., C#, .NET, SQL).
* Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of developers.
* Demonstrated experience with Agile development methodologies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Special Conditions:

* Some out of hours work may be Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
* The incumbent will be required to participate in the Departmental Performance Management Program.
* The incumbent may be required to be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration level across the department.
* Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department Human Services General Probity Check. A renewal will be required every three years.
