Role Overview
Assist the Trade Apprenticeship & Traineeship Support Unit in supporting trade delivery staff, employers, apprentices, and trainees to ensure compliant and timely commencements. Maintain contractual obligations and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administer the apprenticeship and traineeship lifecycle, focusing on contractual and compliance systems.
2. Utilize software such as Outlook, MS Office, SharePoint, STRATA, and government systems.
3. Handle record keeping, meeting minutes, and customer liaison duties.
4. Develop and maintain systems for apprenticeship and traineeship operations.
5. Disseminate reports on enrolments and completions, and follow up on actions.
6. Establish and maintain relationships with employers, apprentices, trainees, and external partners.
7. Provide high-level customer service and manage confidential enquiries tactfully.
8. Maintain accurate records and contribute to documentation and resource development.
9. Participate in training and projects to enhance administrative services.
10. Prioritize tasks such as engaging new apprentices, responding to communications, and managing databases.
11. Communicate effectively with students and employers, providing support and information.
12. Provide confidential administrative support across departments as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent with administrative experience.
2. Experience working with apprentices and trainees is desirable.
3. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
5. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and proactive approach.
6. Understanding of OHS, anti-discrimination policies, and quality assurance.
7. Current Working with Children Check and ability to obtain a Police Check.
