We're looking for a Distribution Systems & Logistics Specialist to support, optimise and enhance the systems that power our new, highly automated distribution operations. This role will be instrumental in ensuring our Warehouse Management System and AMR (robotic pod‑picking) technology work seamlessly to deliver accuracy, efficiency and exceptional fulfilment performance.
As we embed advanced automation into our DC, this role plays a key part in supporting operational teams, strengthening system reliability, and driving continuous improvement across our supply chain.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence how we shape system capability, efficiency and performance as our automated environment evolves.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the on‑site subject matter expert for the M3 WMS and Mushiny AMR automation platform.
* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolutions with automation suppliers, integrators and internal IT.
* Maintain and optimise system master data, configuration parameters and workflows.
* Ensure inventory slotting methodology is effective across racking and the robotic grid.
* Oversee order‑to‑despatch workflow planning and wave optimisation to ensure on‑time fulfilment.
* Provide day‑to‑day systems support during live operations, resolving issues quickly and minimising disruptions.
* Ensure operational dashboards and reporting are accurate, clear and practical for DC teams.
* Translate operational requirements into system improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support peak planning, system stress testing and contingency preparation.
* Identify opportunities to improve throughput, accuracy, labour productivity and system reliability.
* Lead or support system upgrades, enhancements and change deployments.
* Maintain inventory accuracy through analysis and cycle count support.
* Keep SOPs, work instructions and technical documentation current as systems and processes evolve.
* Support configuration, testing, commissioning and cutover activities during new system phases.
* Act as the escalation point for system‑related incidents, including root‑cause analysis.
* Provide system and automation training to DC leaders and operators.
To be successful in this role: You're a systems‑savvy operations professional who enjoys being hands‑on, solving complex challenges and helping teams succeed in a fast‑paced, technology‑enabled environment. You thrive at the intersection of warehouse operations, automation and continuous improvement.
You'll also bring:
* 3–5 years' experience in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain systems or automation‑related roles.
* Strong understanding of warehouse workflows, inventory management and order‑to‑despatch operations.
* Experience with WMS platforms (M3 preferred) and warehouse automation such as AMRs or robotics.
* Proven capabilities in system troubleshooting, workflow optimisation and supporting live operations.
* Strong analytical and data skills, including reporting and dashboard development.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with operations, IT and external partners.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
