Northern Beaches Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Respiratory Lab Technician to start ASAP
Responsibilities:
1. Perform daily activities within the Pulmonary Function Laboratory (PFT Lab), including checking patient lists against doctors' requests.
2. Calibrate equipment before use and follow up on any issues with relevant stakeholders.
3. Conduct pulmonary function tests and other laboratory activities in accordance with policies and procedures.
4. Clean and maintain laboratory equipment.
5. Assist with filing reports.

Essential Criteria:
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
* Commitment to quality patient care and adherence to ACQSHC national standards.
* Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* High organizational skills to meet deadlines.
* Experience with laboratory accreditation processes.
* Membership with ANZSRS.
