Fleet & Inventory Controller Role
This is a key position within our Customer Services team, working alongside the Department of Defence at our head office in Mulgrave, Victoria. The role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day inventory transactions and routines for our Military G-Wagon Fleet.
The successful candidate will work closely with the National Fleet Manager to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks, including reviewing weekly, monthly, and annual procurement and requirements determination reports.
Key responsibilities include performing routine tasks related to materiel logistics, inventory control, and asset management, as well as interpreting and applying relevant Defence policies, procedures, and processes.
* Perform routine tasks related to materiel logistics, inventory control, and asset management.
* Interpret and apply Defence policies, procedures, and processes.
* Review procurement and requirements determination reports.
* Monitor and action outstanding tasks.
* Prepare and submit procurement proposals.
* Support codification of new items into the NATO Master Catalogue of References for Logistics (NMCRL).
* Collaborate on codifying new items and assessing inclusion in the MILIS catalogue.
* Identify opportunities for on-the-job training.
Requirements
* At least two years of inventory management experience desirable.
* Bachelor of Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar preferred.
* Strong interpersonal and planning skills.
* Highly developed analytical skills.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Leadership skills for effective collaboration and decision-making.
